I think that we all have at least one recipe that reminds us our childhood. Maybe it is your grandma's meatballs, or pancakes with home made raspberry jam or your father's autumn mushroom soup that makes all the memories come back.
For me, It just might be this Apple Cake with Cinnamon that my mother used to bake when me and my brothers were small. The best thing about this cake is that it gets even better if you choose not to eat it directly. Since you bake it in a roasting pan it's the perfect party cake! There'll be enough yummy cake for everyone, believe me!
So tomorrow I'm going to share my past with my new won friends who are coming to celebrate my birthday together with me. I hope they will like the cake as much as I do!
