Yesterday was a beautiful spring day. 20 degrees, no clouds and sunshine. Both Hanna and I were free so we went to our favourite café to have cappucinos and go get some color on our winter noses. :) My new friend Ross and my dear neigbour Maxime met us up for a chat. Afterwards Max and I went up to Montmartre to search for good places for my photo-shoot with Lionel saturday. In the evening I went to a hillsong discussion meeting with Johanna, at MCdonalds.. funny but very interesting. The day ended with tea and speculoos at my place with Francois and Hanna.
But.. this morning I woke to an e-mail from my grandmother telling me that a dear family member had passed away. It feels so strange knowing she's gone.  But she got to be among us, healthy and happy for 96 years. I can only wish I'll have the same chance.

This past week I've been realizing how short life is and how easily everything can be taken away from you.  Obviously I'm thinking of Japan and all the people struggling at the moment. But It does give hope knowing that the world wants to help. People are willing to help in their own way - and are showing respect through their creation.

Life is short my dear friends,  live now.

Les Fleurs de printemps

I live next door to this amazing flowershop. Every day when leaving my building the first thing I see is flowers in all colors. It's such a wonderful way of starting the day since living in a big city like Paris doesn't provide you with much nature.
The florists working here make the most beautiful bouquets with season flowers, all with "the little extra detail" that makes it special.

ICONOCLASTES

Today Francois, Alexandra and myself went to check out the art gallery where we're playing the 24th of mars. My dear friend Harriet is organzing a vernissage and the release of the 10th edition of her art-magazine Her Royal Majesty and we have the honor to bring music to this event. It will be The flowershops' second concert together. I'm so excited about it.
The Gallery, by the way, was just gorgeous so I had to take some photos to share with you.

Yesterday I asked Francois what his favourite color was and he answered me that he already had hold me and that I had been laughing at him about it. It was Yellow. It's true, all my life I've been hating yellow things. Maybe because my mother told be at early age that I definately didn't look good in yellow. But when Francois told me a second time that he liked the color yellow I started to look trough my pictures and I think I have changed my mind on the subject. Yellow can be beautiful. So à partir de maintenant I'm starting my yellow period.

Beautiful and inspiring pictures by
                Béatrice Lechtanski

I have had such a lovely and calm day today. The sun was shining when I woke up wich made me all "spring-exited". I put on my new marine blue dress with white dots from Oysho and went down to my favourite café Kooka Burra on rue des martyrs. I just sat there for hours working with my photos, drinking three excellent capuccinos.
While dreaming around from blog to blog I suddenly felt so inspired that I went buying flowers a cross the street. Ended up at my place, put on some smooth jazzy music and started to create flower pots for my new primulas. I'll blog the result as soon as I can
I let my inspiration carry me away cause at five o'clock Francois called me and wondered where I was. So I left my work, jumped on my bicycle I went to Jaurès and MK cinéma.
To everyone who has not seen - True Gri, I encourage you to go and see it, tonight!
And to the Coen brothers I can just say "Bravo Messieurs" and cheers to art and creation!

Sentimental Mood - Duke Ellington

and a poem:

      " Hold my trembling body
        Carry my still beating heart
        Make the spring last
and break my standing winter walls
        For my happiness now lies
in your no longer empty hands. "
